The Harry Potter Series Brought Us Together.
The Harry Potter trend is becoming big again lately out of the release of the mobile RPG game - Harry Potter: Magic Awaken. My friends and I are quite a bunch of crazy fans of the Harry Potter series, they were not only childhood memories, but also a gate to enter the fantastic and magical world and escape from the weary reality for a moment. The trend brought us back to the time when we were primary school students, who ran back home in a hurry to watch Harry Potter movies on TV. It also brought us together, sat down and talked about the time we used to spend together, snaking out from the classroom during the studying period, and going to the library to watch the Harry Potter movies together played on that tiny and old computer screen of the library’s device.

As our passion for Harry Potter had been lightened up again, we decided to re-watch the Harry Potter series together. Thanks to the rapid development of technology, we don’t need to stay in the same room to watch a film together. Via live stream programs (like Instagram, YouTube or Discord) and rich resources on the internet, watching movies through live-streaming websites has become usual and easy for us.
We set every Friday and Saturday’s night as the time of our little Harry Potter film club gathering. Re-watching this classic together doesn’t only mean reviewing the film itself to us, it assembles us together, makes room for us to stick with one another and as a squad for a few hours in addition. After entering university, we became busy, and it is not easy to find a time for gathering. I have never found it more joyful than ever to spend time with my friends. We made fun of each other’s house in Hogwarts as we took the Sorting Hat quiz which would tell you which house you belong to in Hogwarts, (I am a Slytherin by the way.) like the one who belongs to Hufflepuff is the one who only works hard on eating, or Slytherin are the mean kids.

Watching Harry Potter series in different ages brings you various experiences. Back to the time of youth, I watch it out of curiosity, and the eager the fulfill my fantasy of the magical world. However, re-watching the series lately, I started to discuss with my friend why did Hermione choose Ron over Harry(I am a Harry-Hermione Stan by the way, sorry Ron.), and why did Voldemort was so desperate to kill Harry, he could accomplish goals much greater and in a better purpose with such powerful and fully-developed magical ability. The point you care about changes synchronously as you grow, I realized that throughout re-watching Harry Potter with my friends.

So, if you were feeling a bit disconnected with your old friends, or you were finding a way to start a conversation with the boy/girl you are interested in, inviting them to watch Harry Potter might be a good choice.
